WERNIGERODE
From 30.11. - 23.12. In Wernigerode you can experience one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Central Germany. More than 50 dealers offer treats, mulled wine and gift ideas in their Christmas-decorated huts and invite them to stroll in the old town.
You should not miss this:
- The Christmas market on the Nicolaiplatz is especially interesting for children and families. Here you will find a carousel, many candy stalls and other games.
- On the first and third Advent, the shops in the entire city invite to Christmas shopping.
- Fairtrade at the Christmas market on 04.12.: As an official Fairtrade city Wernigerode feels obliged to point to fair trade also at Christmas time and will therefore on December 4 a Fairtrade - Day at the market.
- Advent exhibition in the Wernigerode Harz Museum from 2 December to 12 January under the motto "German Christmas 1900 to 1945". The traveling exhibition from Berlin shows photos of a married couple, which has been photographed every Christmas in the living room.

GOSLAR
Every year Goslar shines in December in festive splendor. Surrounded by the romantic backdrop of the marketplace, 80 lovingly decorated wooden huts invite you to stroll and feast. From hearty to sweet, there are many things to discover. Various mulled wine specialties beyond the normal Christmas market drink await you. Lovers of the arts and crafts will find original Christmas gifts and decorations for the Christmas tree and a festive home.
A highlight is the Christmas forest laid out in the middle of the city center - a special Christmas experience for young and old. The intense smell of the conifers makes the heart of every visitor beat faster.
A very special highlight is the Christmas Rammelsberg on the third weekend of Advent, when thousands of lights illuminate the mine tunnel. The original one Christmas market is obove and also under the ground.

QUEDLINBURG
The quaint half-timbered town of Quedlinburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attracts visitors with an atmospheric program during Advent and Christmas. In addition to the Quedlinburg Christmas market, the city has some pre-Christmas specials to offer. At the Quedlinburg Advent calendar, probably the largest in Germany, the door of a historic half-timbered house around the Schlossberg opens daily.
Hidden behind it, Christmas surprises come to light. Unique in Germany on the first, second and third Advent weekend "Advent in the courtyards" the visitors of Quedlinburg thrilled. Around 20 houses in the historic city center open their courtyards on these days. Artisans, artists and chefs offer their works and in the corners of the old town you will find many a charming place.
